Getting There

You can reach Beaune by either train or car. If you're arriving by train, the station is just a quick 5-minute walk to the centre of town. For those driving, Beaune is well-connected to France’s main autoroutes and has plenty of public parking available around town.

If you’re planning to explore nearby villages or vineyards having a car can be useful, but you can also rent bicycles and cycle through the wine country instead - our favourite way to get around! If you're interested in carpooling, we can help connect you with others who are renting a car.

Within Beaune, everything—attractions, restaurants, shops, and our wedding venue—is easily walkable.

We've also put together a few holiday suggestions if you're looking to extend your trip on either side.

  • By Plane

The easiest option is to fly in to Lyon if travelling from the UK. From Lyon airport, you can rent a car (a 1h45 drive), or take the airport shuttle to Lyon Part Dieu train station, where a 1h45 direct TER train gets you to Beaune.

If you fly in to Paris, you can either rent a car (approx. 3h drive) or take a taxi or RER train to Paris Gare de Lyon and, catch a TGV to Beaune with a transfer in Dijon (approx. 2h15 train journey).

    By Train

Take the Eurostar from London to Paris, then transfer from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon where you can catch the TGV to Beaune, with a transfer in Dijon (approx. 5h30-6h journey time).

    By Car

Drive from Folkestone via the Eurotunnel and continue on the autoroute to Beaune—about 420 miles on the A26. A great option if you’re up for a road trip through France!

When booking trains in France, we recommend using the SNCF website or app.

For your reference, the TGV is the fast and more expensive train, the TER train is the slower and less expensive train.

    Car Rentals
There are plenty of car rental options at Lyon or any of Paris’ airports. For North Americans, a good site to find car hires is AutoEurope. Please keep in mind that in France all autoroutes have tolls.

The driving distances to Beaune are as follows:

Alternatively, you can take a train to Dijon and rent a car at Dijon train station, with multiple providers available for the short drive to Beaune. You can also rent a car directly in Beaune via Europcar.

We’d suggest renting bikes from our friends Olivier & Ced at Bourgogne Randonnées.
